Application Process

1. Gather Your Documents

Before starting your eVOA application, make sure you have digital copies (PDF or JPG) ready to upload. All applicants must prepare:

• Valid Passport (with at least 6 months validity and 2 blank pages)

• Passport-sized Photograph (recent, color, plain background)

• Confirmed Return or Onward Ticket

• Proof of Accommodation (hotel booking or address where you’ll stay)

• Valid Credit/Debit Card for payment of visa fees

2. Online Application Submission

Complete the official eVOA form through the Indonesian immigration portal. Enter your personal, travel, and passport details accurately.

3. Payment of Fees

Pay the visa fee securely online. A payment confirmation receipt will be generated once successful.

4. Application Review

Your application will be reviewed by Indonesian Immigration. This usually takes 1–3 business days, though approvals can sometimes be quicker.

5. Receive Your eVOA

Once approved, you’ll receive your eVOA by email. Print a copy or keep a digital version on your phone.

6. Present at Arrival

Upon arrival in Indonesia, present your eVOA, passport, and other supporting documents at the Immigration counter to receive your entry stamp.

Eligibility & Requirements

To be eligible for an Indonesia eVOA, you must:

• Hold a Passport from one of the eligible countries listed by Indonesian Immigration.

• Have at least 6 months validity on your passport at the time of entry.

• Provide Proof of Onward Travel (return ticket or onward flight to a third country).

• Show Proof of Accommodation (hotel booking or local sponsor address).

• Travel for Tourism, Business, or Family Visits (not for employment or long-term stay).

• Comply with Length of Stay Rules: eVOA allows 30 days stay, extendable once for another 30 days.

How to Avoid Possible Rejection

To ensure a smooth eVOA approval:

• Use Accurate Details: Your name, passport number, and travel dates must match exactly across all documents.

• Upload Clear Scans: Blurry or incomplete uploads are a common reason for rejection.

• Verify Eligibility: Check that your nationality is on the approved list before applying.

• Confirm Return Ticket: Having a valid onward or return ticket is mandatory for entry.

• Pay with a Supported Card: Use an international credit or debit card to avoid failed transactions.

• Apply Early: Submit your application at least 7 days before travel to avoid last-minute issues.

• Respect Past Visa Rules: Previous overstays or immigration violations in Indonesia can cause denial.

By applying carefully and ensuring documents are complete, most travelers receive their eVOA without difficulty.
