Application Process

1. Gather Your Documents

Prepare digital copies before starting your eVOA application. All applicants must have:

• Valid Passport (at least 30 days validity and 1 blank page)

• Recent Passport-sized Photograph (in color, plain background)

• Confirmed Return or Onward Ticket (within the permitted stay period)

• Proof of Accommodation (hotel booking or address in Thailand)

• Proof of Sufficient Funds (e.g., bank statement, credit card)

• Valid Credit/Debit Card for online payment of visa fees

2. Online Application Submission

Fill out the official Thai eVOA form via the immigration portal. Provide personal, travel, and passport details accurately.

3. Payment of Fees

Pay the visa fee online using a supported card. A confirmation receipt will be issued after successful payment.

4. Application Review

Your application is reviewed electronically by Thai Immigration. Processing usually takes 1–3 business days.

5. Receive Your eVOA Approval

Once approved, the eVOA will be emailed to you. Print a copy or store it digitally to show on arrival.

6. Present at Immigration in Thailand

Upon arrival, present your eVOA approval letter, passport, and supporting documents at the eVOA lane for final entry stamping.

Eligibility & Requirements

To apply for a Thailand eVOA, you must:

• Be a citizen of an eligible country (Thailand publishes a specific list of VOA-eligible nationalities).

• Travel for tourism only (not for work or long-term stay).

• Hold a passport valid for at least 30 days from your entry date.

• Provide proof of return or onward travel within the 15-day allowed period.

• Show accommodation details for the duration of your stay.

• Show proof of sufficient funds (at least 10,000 THB per person or 20,000 THB per family).

• Stay no longer than 15 days under eVOA (extensions are not usually available).

How to Avoid Possible Rejection

Visa applications can be denied for various reasons. To maximize approval chances:

• Ensure Eligibility: Confirm your nationality qualifies for a Thailand eVOA before applying.

• Match Travel Dates: Your return/onward ticket must show departure within 15 days.

• Double-check Passport Validity: Must have at least 30 days remaining and one blank page.

• Apply Early: Submit your eVOA at least 3–5 days before departure to avoid delays.

• Avoid Previous Overstays: If you have a history of overstaying in Thailand, your application may be rejected.
